Our Mission

The school was conceived with the motive of bringing public school education to the door step of the common man and sending a maximum number of its cadets to National Defence Academy. The School is indeed rendering a yeoman service to the nation by providing quality education to the childrens. It enables boys and girls to take up an illustrious career as officer in the Armed Forces of the Nation and other celebrated professions. The school emphasizes on all-round development of the cadets so that they consistently strive hard to live up to the expectations of their parents and nation at large. Admission Procedure: Sainik and Military School

Age Creteria

Admissions in Sainik School are meant for boys and Girls. The entrance examination is held for admission to class VI & IX (Boys) and class VI (Girls). Students who are between the age of 10-12 years and 13-15 years respectively on 1st July of the year in which admission is sought are eligible to take the examination. For admission to class IX, the boys should be studying in class VIII in a recognized school. Admissions are made strictly in order of merit only in classes VI and IX.

For Girls:- Bijapur (Karnataka), Chandrapur (Maharashtra), Ghorakal (Uttrakhand), Kalikiri (Andhra pradesh) Kodagu (Karnataka), Kittur Rani Sainik School, and UP sainik school

Admission of Female students in Sainik School form 2020-2021:

Admissions will start from the next academic session (2020-2021) in a phased manner. For the smooth implementation of this directive, the ministry has directed all concerned authorities for ensuring the availability of necessary infrastructure as well as sufficient female staff in Sainik school. This decision is in line with the Government’s objective towards gender equality, greater inclusiveness and enables greater participation of women in armed forces. It also strengthens the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” motto.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE ENTRANCE EXAMS OF SAINIK SCHOOL

Entrance test Syllabus for class 6th

  • Mathematical knowledge test
  • Langues ability test
  • Intelligent test
  • Total time duration would be 3 hrs for this. Test paper would be in English .

Entrance test Syllabus for class 9th

  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • English
  • Social study

Note :Test paper would be in English only. All the candidates who would qualify the written test will go for the interview and medical test in government civil hospital.

Rashtriya Military School Admission and Eligibility Criteria

Age Creteria

1. Class VI - Only boys aged between 10-12 years as on 31 March 2020 (born between 01 April 2008 to 31 March 2010, both days inclusive) are eligible.

2. Class IX - Only boys aged between 13-15 years as on 31 March 2020 (born between 01 April 2005 to 31 March 2007, both days inclusive) are eligible.

3. Six months relaxation in upper age limit is permissible for the wards of personnel Killed in Action

4. Education for Class VI: No previous education qualification is mandatory

5. For Class IX: Candidate should have passed Class VIII from a govt/recognized school before the date of admission to Rashtriya Military School. Students studying in Class VIII are also eligible to appear in the entrance test for class IX.

Medical: Selected candidates will have to undergo medical exam at Military Hospitals as nominated by the Director General of Medical Services prior to admission and only those found medically fit will be offered admission.

Entrance Exam Pattern

The Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to Class VI & IX will be held on 22nd December 2019 (Sunday). The exam will be based on automated OMR.

Class VI: It will be of class V standard in subjects of Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics & English.
Class IX: It will be of class VIII standard in subjects of English, Hindi, Social Science, Mathematics & Science.

Relaxation In Age Limit Is Not Permissible Under Any Circumstances Reservation

Reservation

15% of the available seats are reserved for Schedule Caste candidates and 7.5% for Schedule Tribe candidates. 25% of the balance seats are reserved for the children of serving and retired defence personnel. Out of the remaining, 67% of the seats will be reserved for boys from the State in which the Sainik Schools is located. Balance 33% left over of seats will be thrown open to boys from other States and Union Territories in the ration of their male population. Any unutilized seats in this category will be merged with home State seats.

In addition to 300 marks prescribed for Written Examination for Class VI and 400 marks for Class IX 50 marks for both VI & IX classes would be set apart for interview. The merit list for admission to the Sainik School would be complied on the basis of total marks. In case there is a tie with regard to overall marks, the marks for mathematics would be considered. In case there is a tie here also the marks for English for Class IX and Intelligence Test for class VI will be considered and thereafter the marks for General Science for Class IX and language for Class VI. In case there is a tie there also the student younger in age will be selected. It will not be necessary for a student to qualify separately in the interview and marks obtained in the writer test and interview together will determine his position in the final merit list.

We enroll students from across India in our training institute during our curriculum programs.
Hostel facility available.
Seperate hostel for girls.

The rooms are equipped with beds, cupboards and other necessities that a student might require. The rooms are well lit and furnished and hence very comfortable and provide students with a good Food and atmosphere to focus on their studies.

We provide some of recreational activities to students so that they can also spend time playing, which would help them in their physical growth.

Entrance exam preparation:

Entrance Exam Training is handled by a team of professional trainers who are highly experienced. We have a team of teachers to impart interview training and our faculty frequently updates the changes that are included in the RIMC / RMS/ Sainik School and Girls Sainik School Entrance for selection. We have excellent training facilities and professional trainers for RIMC / RMS/ Sainik School Entrance Exams such as “RIMC ENTRANCE EXAMINATION”, “Common Entrance Test” (CET) for Rashtriya Military Schools, All India Sainik School Entrance Exams (AISSEE), Other Entrance Tests, well-structured curriculum, mock tests, solving previous years question papers and condensed study material.
